Gabriela Garbonova

Gabby is from Sofia, Bulgaria. She completed her degrees at Stellenbosch University in South Africa: a BSc in Chemistry and Polymer Science, in which she earned honours and undertook a project in a structure-activity investigation of quaternary chitosan derivatives, and an MSc in Polymer Science entitled ‘The synthesis and investigation of poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) based hydrogels’ under the supervision of Professor Bert Klumperman.

During her time with the Dove Group as an Early Stage Researcher, Gabby will investigate innovative designs to enable plastic packaging circular economy.
