Anna Maria Dąbrowska

Anna has lived in Poland and Switzerland. In 2023 she earned her PhD in Chemistry, awarded with distinction, from Warsaw University of Technology. Her thesis, ‘Crystal structure and catalytic properties of complexes of dialkylgallium alkoxide and aryloxide complexes with asymmetric N-heterocyclic carbenes’, was supervised by Prof. Izabela Madura and Dr. Paweł Horeglad, and funded by a Polish National Science Centre’s PRELUDIUM grant for young researchers. Her career has also included roles as a Research Assistant at Warsaw University of Technology, and as a Cosmetic Product Safety Assessor at SyLab, in Poland.

In April 2024, Anna joined the Dove Group to work on the EPSRC project ‘Developing a Circular Economy for Medical Testing Plastics’ which aims to invent and apply biosourced and biodegradable plastics for use in personal/home medical tests.

Anna enjoys drawing and graphic design, language learning methods, embroidery and singing.
