Josie Robins

Josie is a joint PhD student based also in the Arno group. She grew up in Jersey and earned her MChem at the University of Sheffield. Josie’s research project, conducted within the Slark group at Sheffield, explored polyesters synthesised using lactones, and resulted in her thesis titled Temperature dependent sequencing in the ring opening copolymerisation of ∂-lactones.  While at Birmingham, Josie will investigate lipoic acid as a sustainable feedstock for soft biomaterials.
